We were created to impact all nations for the glory of Christ. The testimony of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation is that we were created to enjoy God’s grace in relationship to Him, so that we may extend His glory to the ends of the earth. Matthew 28:19 commands and commissions us to “go and make disciples of all nations…”
Aurangabad, India
Every year since January 2006 Wellington has been sending their pastor, Wayne Holcomb, to Aurangabad, India to provide biblical training for Indian pastors in the state of Maharashtra. These pastors have a Bible College education, but cannot further their training at the seminary in Pune because they do not have a strong command of the English language.
Our pastor, through the use of a translator, teaches advanced Bible Survey courses, as well as in-depth studies of individual books of the Bible, and other general courses that are necessary for fully understanding the foundations of the Christian faith. These pastors appreciate this support in a culture that is primarily Hindu, Buddhist, and Muslim. Some of the pastors travel as many as 18 hours to attend the conference each year.
Wellington has also, through their mission giving for the past ten years, helped to provide a new facility for the girl's orphanage and training the boys in the orphanage through the church's Orphan Support Ministry. More than fifty families within Wellington have financially supported "their" orphan to provide food, clothing, education, and training in the scriptures each month.
